”I have been taking voice lessons with Skylight Academy of Music for over six years, and I can say that I love the program and what it teaches! Michelle provides a lot of resources to help improve your voice technique, sight reading, and terminology. She creates an environment that is going to help you grow, while also making you an independent artist. She taught me how to act professional, how to improve my auditions, and she is sure to catch every detail before my performance/audition. Michelle is always ready to help when I need her. I remember I had to submit a video audition for a class at my college, and I was unsure which video to choose. I asked Michelle if she was willing to take a look at the three and give me some advice. She was happy to help me and gave me detailed notes. She took the time to watch all three videos multiple times, watch them side by side, and even with her eyes closed so that she could focus on the voice aspect. Michelle is also very flexible in terms of scheduling. As a college student, this has been very beneficial to me as things come up that I cannot control. The events are super fun as well! As an older student, it is fun to see the little ones be in their element when performing and to see them have fun with all the games. Michelle always reminds us how proud of us she is and genuinely wants us to go far. If you are looking for a place to nurture your craft, while also being able to have fun with it, then I recommend Skylight Academy of Music for you!
